LENO™
Danfoss LENO manual balancing valves are designed to be the most versatile and practical in their category. Where the installation of other valves can be a challenge due to limited space, the LENO MSV valves have a hand wheel that can temporarily be removed for easier installation in narrow spaces.
Leno MSV
To save costs for shut-off valves the LENOTM MSV-BD, MSV-B and MSV-O valves combine both a balancing and shut-off function. For that purpose, the principle design is based on a ball valve, making sure the shut-off offers 100% watertight
closure of the system. Using the shut-off ball valve will not influence the flow settings. Furthermore, the numeric pre-setting indications can be viewed from different angles making commissioning easier.
All three types of LENOTM MSV valves offer built-in measuring nipples for 3 mm needles. In case of the MSV-BD these can, together with the draining, even be rotated over 360° to any preferred position. The MSV-O has a fixed venturi orifice. The MSV-S is a supplementary shut-off valve with built-in draining.
Product Highlights
- Easy mounting
With a compact design and a hand wheel easy to remove, you need just a tiny room for installation. Conventional balancing valves need to be mounted in straight pipe to ensure accurate measurement. The LENO™ can be placed anywhere, for example just after an elbow, without influencing its accuracy.

Easy set point locking
A simple tap on the top of the hand wheel is enough to lock the setting.
For more convenience, the LENO™ MSV-BD comes with a green disposable key for unlocking. Simply press the green latch and the valve is unlocked. To make LENO™ tamper-proof a plastic tie-wrap (accessory) can be inserted
Easy shut-off function
When the LENO™ MSV is locked, the valve becomes a ball valve. This feature has several advantages: The valve has zero leakage, opening and closing the valve is much easier. Closing the valve will not influence the flow setting because the setting mechanism and the shut-off mechanism are completely separate. The position (open or closed) is clearly shown by a red indicator.

LENO™ MSV sets
LENO™ MSV-BD is a range of manual valves for balancing flow in heating and cooling systems. LENO™ MSV-BD is a combined presetting and shut off valve with a range of unique features: Removable hand wheel for easy mounting; 360° turnable measuring station for convenient measuring and draining; Numeric presetting scale, visible from more angles; Easy locking of presetting; Built-in test plugs for Ø 3 mm needles; Drain connection with separate draining of inlet and outlet side of valve; Open-close with Allen key for extra force; Open-closed colour indicator. It is recommended to use LENO™ MSV-BD in constant flow systems. The valve may be mounted in flow or return. DN 15 and 20 valves are available with internal or external thread. Other dimensions with internal thread. MSV-BD PURE valves are available in DN15LF - 25 range. The only difference between MSV-BD and MSV-BD PURE valves is the brass material used for valve construction.

LENO™ MSV-B
LENO™ MSV-B is a new generation of manual valves for balancing flow in heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems.
LENO™ MSV-B is a combined presetting and shut off valve with a range of unique features: Removable hand wheel for easy mounting. Numeric presetting scale, visible from more angles. Easy locking of presetting. Built-in measuring nipples for 3mm needles. Open-close with Allen key in emergency. Open-closed colour indicator. It is recommended to use LENO™ MSV-B in constant flow systems in front of boilers, flat stations or heat pumps in one-family houses for balancing, shut off function for service and repair, flow verification, one-pipe systems. MSV-BD Manual Presetting Valves LENO™
LENO™ MSV-BD is a range of manual valves for balancing flow in heating and cooling systems.
MSV-D Manual Presetting Valves LENO™
LENO MSV-D is a new generation of manual valves for balancing flow in heating and cooling systems.
Dynamic balancing valves are the preferred option for hydronic balancing in constant and variable flow systems. If manual balancing valves are used for hydronic balancing they are better suited for constant flow systems. Manual balancing valves can be used in both constant and variable flow systems for flow verification, shut off function for service and repair. The valve may be mounted in flow or return.
