Pilot operated servo valves

ICS Flexline™ servo operated valves

Ready for the refrigerants of the future

The ICS pilot operated servo valves from Danfoss ICV Flexline™ platform are quick and simple to handle, install and service due to their low weight and compact design.

The ICS valves are ready for the refrigerants of the future, designed and tested to withstand a maximum working pressure of up to 65 bar (943 psi) in a media temperature range of –60 to +120°C [–76 to +248°F]. This makes them suitable for the natural refrigerant CO₂, ammonia and other future high pressure refrigerants.

The special V-port design in the ICS regulating cone enables the temperature set-point to be adjusted to a higher level, and a better COP, ultimately leading to energy savings.

The ICS is part of the ICV Flexline™ modular concept giving you a high degree of flexibility to create a valve that suits your requirements. The common valve body for ICS, ICM and ICLX is available in several different connection sizes. Different function modules in the ICV series offer you a very wide range of capacities and functions which can be installed in each valve body. The valves have direct weld connections allowing for high pressure and a more tight design compared to traditional flanged valves.

    ICS

ICS pilot-operated servo valves belong to the ICV (Industrial Control Valve) family. The valve comprises three main components: valve body, function module and top cover.
ICS pilot-operated servo valves are pilot operated valves for regulating pressure, temperature and ON/OFF function in refrigeration systems.
ICS valves are designed for low and high-pressure refrigerants. The small sizes are designed for MWP of 65 bar, while large sizes have MWP of 52 bar.
ICS valves can be used on the high and low-pressure sides, in wet and dry suction lines and in liquid lines without phase change (i.e. where no expansion takes place in the valve).
The function of ICS valves is dependent on the pilot pressure applied from either a pilot valve or external pilot pressure source.
ICS 1 pilot has one pilot pressure connection and ICS 3 pilot has three pilot pressure connections.

    ICSH 25-80

ICSH dual position solenoid valve belongs to the ICV family and consists of an ICV housing, an ICS insert together with an ICSH top cover with 2 EVM normally closed solenoid pilots installed in the top cover. All sizes of ICSH are designed for a MWP of 65 bar. ICSH is used in hot gas lines for the opening of hot gas defrost flow to the evaporator in 2 steps. Both steps are activated by a controller or a PLC energizing the magnetic coils in a time delay sequence. Step 1 (approx. 20% of full flow) is to allow a smooth pressure build-up in the evaporator, while the subsequent step 2 opens the flow to 100% to get the full defrost capacity. The ICSH is designed for large industrial refrigeration systems with ammonia, fluorinated refrigerants or CO2. The ICSH features 2 configuration optionsFirst option secures that step 2 can never open unless step1 has been mechanically activated. Second option is independent configuration that allows step 2 to open disregarding step 1.
