By means of a flexible and modular design, it is possible to combine several control functions into one controller to meet the most demanding requirements across a wide range of applications. In some applications, it may be necessary to control the flow temperature, limit maximum flow rate and primary return temperature by using a single multifunctional controller.

In some applications, it may be necessary to control the flow temperature, limit maximum flow rate and primary return temperature by using a single multifunctional controller.
A typical example of such a device is the AVQMT, which works like the AVQM but with an additional self-acting thermostat (type AVT / STM).
The pressure-independent valve controls the temperature on the secondary side and the self-acting thermostat limits the return temperature. In domestic hot water systems, the thermostat can be used as a safety thermostat protecting users from scalding.

FAQ
Can I limit a max flow with a differential pressure regulator?
Yes you can. Open the control valve fully and set the max flow by adjusting the differential pressure. You can also calculate the appropriate differential pressure, but you need to know the exact capacity of the control valve.

AVPQM, AVPQM4
AVPQM is a self-acting differential pressure and flow controller with integrated control valve developed for the use in district heating / cooling systems. The controller prevents flow to exceed set max flow. In a combination with electrical actuators AMV(E) and ECL electronic controllers the flow and temperature can be controlled to achieve highest energy savings.

The AVPQT is a self-acting differential pressure, flow and temperature controller primarily for use in district heating systems. The controller closes on rising differential pressure or temperature, or when set max. flow is exceeded. AVPQT controller can be combined with AVT or STM thermostatic actuators. The AVPQT controller have a control valve with adjustable flow restrictor, combination piece with connection neck for thermostat, an actuator with two control diaphragms and handle for differential pressure setting.
AVQM-W / AVQMT-W
AVQM-WE is a self-acting flow controller with integrated control valve primarily for use in district heating systems. The controller closes when set max. flow is exceeded. AVQMT-WE is a self-acting flow and temperature controller with integrated control valve primarily for use in district heating systems. The controller closes on rising temperature or when set max. flow is exceeded. All controllers have special designed (pressure relieved) control valve insert.
