Instantaneous water heaters
Instantaneous water heaters provide hot water instantaneously and only as it is needed. Danfoss offers a comprehensive range of products with different control solutions based on principles of flow, thermostatic, flow and thermostatic or electronic controlling. When you turn on a hot water tap in your home, cold water travels through a pipe into a heat exchanger in the unit. The cold water is heated in the heat exchanger via district heating water or another waterborne heat source. As a result, the water heaters deliver a constant supply of instant hot water.

How does instantaneous water heater work?
When you turn on a hot water tap in your home, cold water travels through a pipe into a heat exchanger in the unit. The cold water is heated in the heat exchanger via district heating water or another waterborne heat source. As a result, the water heaters deliver a constant supply of instant hot water.
The biggest advantage of a water heater with heat exchanger is: It never goes empty! Danfoss instantaneous water heaters can supply from one up to several households with domestic hot water and are very suitable for one-family houses, small block of flats and small commercial buildings.
- Easy to install, requires little space and is simple to operate.
- Low operational temperatures.
- Sufficient supply of DHW
- Operates independently of differential pressure and flow temperature
- Pipes and plate heat exchanger made of stainless steel
- Minimized risk of lime scale and bacteria formation.

Akva Vita II
The Akva Vita II is an instantaneous waterheater featuring high performance andsimple operation. It is especially suitable forsingle-family houses and for systems with asimilar domestic hot water requirement. The Akva Vita II can be used directly on dis-trict heating networks with a differentialpressure of max. 2.5 bar.

EvoFlat 4.0W
Danfoss EvoFlat 4.0 station is particularly suitable for multi family buildings with central heat generation or district heating. The innovative unit sets new standard. It consists of functional blocks made of a specially reinforced PPS composite material. This makes the station extremely lightweight and limits internal heat emission. The smooth surface reduces the risks of scaling and clogging.
All components are assembled with newly designed click-fit connections. Compared to conventionel substations with pipes and screw connections, this new connection technology does not require retightening during installation and commissioning.
Primary side (DH)
The flat station is equipped with two differential pressure controller and a central strainer. A summer bypass keeeps the supply line warm during standstill. This ensures a fast response time for DHW during the summer. The bypass is thermostatically controlled.
Domestic hot water (DHW)
Four sizes of heat exchanger are available to cover all requirements from 37 kW up to 70 kW. The Evoflat 4.0 M is equipped with an intelligent controller that regulates the supply side flow based on the domestic hot water temperature and the volume of water drawn. The station features an integrated differential pressure controller on the supply side of the domestic hot water heating system. This eliminates the need for hydraulic balancing of the station. If necessary, the station can be expanded with a hot water circulation set.
Termix BV E
The Termix BV substation is an instantaneous water heater featuring superb heat extraction and high performance. The substation is delivered with thermostatic or automatic controls.
Domestic hot water (DHW)
The domestic hot water is prepared in a plate heat exchanger and the temperature is regulated with thermostatic or automatic controls. The thermostatic solution is regulated with self-acting thermostatic control valves. The substations with high output are controlled with two valves connected in cascade in order to control both small and large demands for hot water in an efficient manner. The Termix BV can also be mounted with automatic controls. There is no additional pressure loss on the secondary side of the heat exchanger with a thermostatic or automatic control valve. Therefore this type of regulation can be used by low pressure in the cold water mains.
District heating (DH)
The district heating circuit is prefabricated with a flow controller with integrated control valve as well as thermometers and ball valves.
Heating (HE)
The heating circuit consists of a plate heat exchanger, safety valve, manometer, thermometers, ball valves, drain valve, air valve and circulation pump. The heating circuit is controlled with an electronic controller with an outdoor temperature sensor.
Options
Termix VVX Compact 28 can be delivered with white-lacquered steel cover and filling line between primary and secondary side.
