Akva Lux II Se (A230)

Application
The Akva Lux Se (ECL310/A230) is a fully insulated local and district heating compact substation for space heating and instantaneous domestic hot water production, featuring unique domestic hot water control technology via the PTC2+P controller with energy-saving function. Prepared for wall mounting, the Akva Lux Se covers both the domestic hot water and heating demands of large as well as small single-family houses and is also suitable for large-scale projects.

Equipment
The compact substation is available in three standard versions with a plate heat exchanger for domestic hot water preparation, type XB 06H-1 26, XB 06H-1 40 or XB 06H+ 60. The equipment includes a safety valve, non-return valve for the cold water supply, shut-off valves, sensors, ball valves, sensor pockets, AVPL differential pressure controller, thermostat, strainer, bypass, energy-saving PTC2+P domestic hot water controller and a heat meter spacer piece in the district heating return line. The substation is supplied as standard with an ECL 310 weather-compensated electronic controller and is also prepared for DHW circulation operation.

Domestic Hot Water
Domestic hot water is heated via the plate heat exchanger. The PTC2+P controller regulates the domestic hot water temperature without auxiliary energy and with an energy-saving function, depending on the primary temperature and differential pressure. The pressure-controlled section ensures that the heat exchanger is supplied with flow on both the primary side (DH) and secondary side (DHW) only during water draw-off and is closed immediately after draw-off ends. This largely protects the heat exchanger against limescale and bacterial growth. At the same time, the PTC2+P controller ensures a constant domestic hot water temperature even under fluctuating differential pressure conditions. The Danfoss PTC2+P controller with integrated differential pressure controller and energy-saving function ensures that the plate heat exchanger remains cold in standby mode.

Bypass (Thermostatic Circulation)
A thermal bypass ensures that hot domestic water is available immediately at all times. The temperature is set to provide the best possible comfort and efficiency. The station is supplied as standard with bypass operation but is prepared for operation with a DHW circulation system.

DHW Circulation
If a circulation line is available in the building installation, a DHW circulation kit is available as an accessory and must be ordered separately. The circulation temperature can be adjusted independently of the controlled DHW temperature. This ensures maximum hot water comfort with minimal standby losses and economical operation.

District Heating Meter
The station is equipped with a 3/4" spacer piece in the return line for installation of a district heating meter.

Operation
The station is very user-friendly and easy to install. The compact substation prepared for wall mounting contains connection nipples secured by a retaining bracket. These enable easy and precise installation. The removable cover plate in the front insulation provides easy access to important components such as the controller, the PTC2+P controller and the heat meter calculator.
