DSN
The Danfoss DSN series scroll compressors are available as single units or in tandem and trioTrio manifold is under development manifold configurations, offering a wide capacity range of 25–250 kW for both chillers and heat pumps. Built with an optimized design, they deliver high efficiency and extended service life. For R290 (propane) applications, the DSN compressors support chillers with evaporating temperatures up to 25 °C and condensing temperatures up to 82 °C in heat pump operations. This makes them ideal for enabling the use of natural refrigerants in both comfort cooling and process cooling. The Intermediate Discharge Valve (IDV) concept ensures a balanced performance between heating and cooling, while tandem (even/uneven) and trio configurations provide high seasonal efficiency across different capacities.←←Note: R290 is classified as an A3 flammable refrigerant and must be handled with appropriate safety precautions.←←For applications where flammable refrigerants like A2L and A3 cannot be used due to safety regulations, the DSN series also supports R513A, a low-GWP refrigerant. R513A is widely used in CRAC units (Computer Room Air Conditioning) and specific process cooling systems, offering a safe and reliable solution without compromising performance.
