Direct heating and instantaneous DHW
Direct heating stations with instantaneous domestic hot water preparation are used in single-family houses, where pressure and temperature conditions allow direct connections, but the most common use is in the multi-family buildings with decentralized heating and DHW installations.
Direct heating substation with instantaneous domestic hot water preparation are used in single-family houses, where pressure and temperature conditions allow direct connections, but the most common use is in the multi-family buildings with decentralized heating and DHW installations.
Each building and apartment has a directly connected substation or flat station with integrated production of domestic hot water. Single or multiple heating circuits (e.g. radiator, floor heating system) are supplied with heated water from the central heat source.
Today, renovated or new buildings are obliged to make at least partial use of renewable energy sources. Modern central heating systems can use buffer tanks to combine different energy sources.
All buildings must comply with strict DHW hygiene regulations.

EvoFlat 4.0F
Danfoss EvoFlat 4.0 F station is particularly well suited for apartment buildings with central heat production or district heating supply. The innovative unit sets new standards. It consists of functional blocks made of a specially reinforced PPS composite material that limits internal heat emissions. The smooth surface of the composite section reduces the risk of deposits and clogging. All components are mounted with the newly developed Click-Fit connection, which does not require re-tightening compared to conventional stations with pipes and screw connections. The station is very light and easy to install and service thanks to good access to all components. It is delivered with an attractive black EPP cover that also ensures good thermal insulation.
Primary side (DH)
The station is equipped with two differential pressure regulators, one for DHW and one for heating, which eliminates the need for hydraulic balancing. A central strainer is installed to protect the station’s components. A thermostat-controlled summer bypass keeps the supply line warm outside the heating season or during standstill, ensuring a quick response time for domestic hot water. A fitting piece is installed that can be easily removed for installation of a heat meter, along with a sensor pocket for the heat meter’s temperature sensor. The heating supply flow pipe is additionally insulated so it does not affect the temperature of the cold water.
Heating (HE)
The station supplies radiator heating circuits with the flow temperature provided by the supply. The integrated differential pressure regulator creates optimal operating conditions. A zone valve is integrated in the return side. Time-dependent temperature control can be carried out using an optional actuator and room thermostat. Installation of a return temperature limiter is possible to ensure optimal cooling of the heat source.
Domestic hot water (DHW)
The station can be ordered with one of four sizes of heat exchangers, covering all domestic hot water needs from 37 kW up to 70 kW. The new Danfoss micro-plate heat exchangers are highly efficient and have a lower risk of blockage due to limescale formation. The station is equipped with an intelligent controller that regulates the primary-side supply based on the set domestic hot water temperature and the tapped water volume. A fitting piece is installed that can be removed for installation of a water meter. There is a return line for the cold domestic water so that the total water consumption runs through the same meter. If necessary, the station can be easily expanded with a domestic hot water circulation set. The station can, if required, be ordered with a water hammer arrestor installed on the hot water outlet.EvoFlat FSS
Product
The EvoFlat FSS is a compact and user-friendly flat station designed for use in multi family buildings. It is particularly suitable for two-pipe systems in residential buildings supplied with heat from a central heat source, such as district heating, boilers, solar heating systems, heat pumps, and similar installations.
All pipes are made of stainless steel and connected using Danfoss Hair-pin technology. Compared to traditional stations with threaded connections, this innovative connection method requires no retightening during installation.
The rear panel consists of an EPP insulation plate, complemented by a heat-insulating front cover, ensuring minimal heat loss.
Primary side (DH)
The flat station is equipped with a differential pressure regulator, integrated into the main regulator type TPC M and a central strainer. A thermostatically controlled summer bypass maintains the heat supply at operating temperature, ensuring a rapid domestic hot water (DHW) response outside the heating season.
Heating (HE)
The flat station supplies the radiator circuit with the same temperature as the heat source. The differential pressure regulator ensures efficient heating operation. For time-dependent temperature control, the station can optionally be equipped with an actuator for the zone valve integrated into the regulator.
Domestic hot water (DHW)
Domestic hot water is heated via a heat exchanger using the flow-through principle. Three sizes of heat exchangers are available, covering capacities from 37 to 55 kW.
The domestic hot water temperature is regulated by the self-acting TPC-M regulator (with integrated differential pressure regulator), ensuring a constant DHW temperature even with fluctuating supply temperature, flow, and differential pressure.
If desired, the station can be supplied with built-in DHW circulation.
EvoFlat RENO
The EvoFlat Reno is a flat station for direct heating and a pressure and temperature controlled instantaneous domestic hot water heater for two - pipe systems, designed for decentralized heat distribution and is especially suitable for apartment buildings, where existing gas boilers should be replaced. The existing connections for DHW and DCW as well as supply and return of secondary heating circuits can be used without major changes, but it is recommended that the connections for the primary hot water flow and return are to lead through the chimney. Optionally the heating supply and return pipe can also be established in top of the unit.
Primary side
The station is supplied with heating water from a energy source and it is prefabricated with interconnecting components such as a differential pressure controller (integrated in main temperature controller TPC-M), strainer, thermostatic bypass FJVR, sensor pockets and fitting piece for insertion of a heat meter.
Heating (HE)
The self-acting temperature controller TPC-M with integrated differential pressure controller sets the optimum operating conditions for heating and DHW. In order to enable a time dependent temperature control program, a zone valve with actuator and a room thermostat* can be included as an option.

Domestic hot water (DHW)
The domestic hot water is prepared in the heat exchanger based on the flow principle and the temperature is regulated by the self-acting controller with integrated differential pressure controller - the TPC-M. Supreme ease of operation is obtained via the combined hydraulic and thermostatic regulation of the TPC-M controller. The flow - controlled part allows primary and secondary side flow through the heat exchanger, only when hot water is tapped and blocks the flow immediately after completion of the tapping process. The thermostatic part controls the domestic hot water temperature. Thanks to the quick-acting hydraulic control of the heat exchanger, it is largely protected from the formation of lime scale and growth of bacteria. The TPC-M controller with integrated differential pressure controller compensates for variations in supply temperature and varying differential pressure and thereby ensures a constant domestichot water temperature at all times.
Supper bypass
The station is equipped with a summer bypass.
Construction
All pipes are made of stainless steel and insulated.
