Akva Therm 22 (Electronic)

Water heater for domestic hot water production based on the instantaneous heating principle, designed for use in district heating systems.Supplied as a wall-mounted solution with self-acting or automatic control of the domestic hot water temperature.

Application
​​​​​​​Akva Therm 22 can be used directly in district heating systems. The water heater has sufficient capacity to supply a property with 5 to 25 apartments or a smaller commercial building/sports facility with shower facilities for up to 60 people.

Description
The water heater includes an insulated, brazed plate heat exchanger for domestic hot water production, a thermostatic controller or Danfoss automatic controller for domestic hot water regulation, a thermometer, an energy-efficient pump, a strainer, safety valve, and check valve on the cold water inlet. Alternatively, it can be supplied with a Danfoss ECL 310 automatic controller. Akva Therm 22 can also be supplied with a plate heat exchanger solution featuring Danfoss ECL 310 automatic control.

Water Heater
The unit is based on a high-efficiency plate heat exchanger with optimal cooling of the district heating water. The domestic hot water temperature is controlled either thermostatically or by a Danfoss ECL 110 controller.

Domestic Hot Water Circulation
The water heater is supplied as standard with connections for domestic hot water circulation and is equipped with an energy-efficient pump, check valve, and balancing valve. The pump, balancing valve, and check valve are pre-mounted on the circulation line with flow direction toward the water heater. The water heater must always be connected to a domestic hot water circulation system. If circulation is not available in the building installation, an internal circulation loop must be established within the technical room to ensure continuous flow on the secondary side of the water heater. Domestic hot water circulation provides hot water at the tapping point without waiting time and without water wastage. This ensures optimum comfort and good heating economy.
Note: It is recommended to install a differential pressure controller upstream of the water heater if the district heating supply pressure exceeds 8 m water column, to prevent noise.

Service- and Installation-Friendly
A practical pipe arrangement and compact assembly of the components make the unit easy to service and install. Installation is quick and simple. The water heater is wall-mounted, and all connection points are positioned at a distance from the wall, making it possible to achieve neat pipework.
